Content Start
This is the final guide in a series of four, created by the Southeast Regional Educational Laboratory, for third-grade teachers to use with parents and caregivers to support them in reinforcing foundational reading skill development at home. It presents four research-based recommendations with how-to steps using family-friendly language to support student skill practice. This guide is a companion for teacher and administrator use with the resource titled, Foundational Skills to Support Reading for Understanding in Kindergarten Through 3rd Grade, produced by What Works Clearinghouse.
