Anthony Goins
Anthony Goins currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Mississippi Association of School Superintendents (MASS), a role he assumed after retiring from a distinguished 27-year career in Mississippi’s public education system. In this position, he focuses on professional development initiatives and enhancing engagement with MASS members.
Before joining MASS, Mr. Goins spent over two decades in the Clinton Public School District (CPSD), where he served in various leadership roles, including assistant superintendent (2017-2022), principal of Clinton Junior High School (2003-2014), and principal of Clinton High School. His tenure in these roles was marked by his commitment to academic excellence, student development, and fostering a supportive educational environment.
Mr. Goins began his career in 1995 as a social studies teacher in the Hinds County School District. Throughout his career, he gained recognition for his effective leadership and dedication to student success.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Alcorn State University, a master’s in education administration from Jackson State University, and a specialist degree in educational leadership from Mississippi College.
