This project supports the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) in implementing the Alabama Numeracy Act. The project focuses on supporting ALSDE in developing an Academic Intervention Framework detailing an audit and improvement process to be implemented with schools not making sufficient progress after identification for support based on their Grades K–5 student performance in mathematics. Additionally, the project will support the development of a system for measuring the effectiveness of math coaches and a Turnaround Leader Academy.
