CSAI Update: Standards Alignment to Curriculum and Assessment

This update from the Center on Standards and Assessment Implementation provides definitions of standards, curriculum, and assessments and explains what alignment means in the context of curriculum and assessment. Following this overview, the brief provides summaries of alignment processes in two states, Louisiana for curriculum alignment and Oregon for assessment alignment. These summaries include links to tools and resources these states used and/or provided to their local districts to use in the alignment processes. The remainder of the brief provides short descriptions of other resources to support alignment of curriculum and assessments to standards, including links to these resources.
