Jack Schwarz
Jack Schwarz is a Project Lead for the Gulf Comprehensive Center and Co-Deputy Director. He assists the state of Florida in strengthening professional learning to improve teacher instructional practices and student outcomes. Mr. Schwarz is a senior research associate at RMC Research and brings more than 17 years of experience working to help states and districts meet the needs of underperforming schools through policy and research analysis, one-on-one and small group coaching and advisement, and the design and delivery of professional development. Mr. Schwarz has more than 12 years of experience working with states through the federally funded Comprehensive Centers program. For the Region 7 Comprehensive Center (2019-2024), Jack supported the Florida Department of Education to revise the state leadership standards and develop processes to review and support leadership and principal preparation programs. For the National Comprehensive Center (2019-2024), Jack designed and delivered quarterly virtual convenings for 13 SEA teams over the course of two years to help LEAs use evidence-based interventions for learning acceleration. He continues to support the National Comprehensive Center (2024-2029) as the portfolio lead for projects designed to improve outcomes for schools implementing comprehensive, targeted, or additional targeted support and improvement (CSI, TSI, ATSI) activities.
EDUCATION: Ed.M. in education policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education; B.A. in classical studies from University of Chicago
