Kandace T. Jones
Kandace T. Jones is a Technical Assistance Specialist and Education Subject Matter Expert supporting the Gulf Comprehensive Center. She is a nationally recognized education systems leader with more than two decades of experience strengthening organizational capacity and improving outcomes across PK–12 education systems. Ms. Jones provides strategic technical assistance to state and local education agencies in support of federal and state priorities, with a focus on high-quality technical assistance design and delivery, adult learning, communities of practice, and data-informed continuous improvement.
Previously, she served as vice president for Education Systems & Policy at a national research and technical assistance organization, where she led large-scale initiatives supporting school improvement, leadership development, data use, and systems change. Ms. Jones has held senior leadership roles directing U.S. Department of Education–funded Comprehensive Centers and other Federally-funded Technical Assistance Centers and served as a senior advisor within the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education. In addition, she is an alumna of the Broad Residency in Urban Education.
EDUCATION: B.S. in business administration and M.B.A. from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University
