Patricia Cox
Patricia Cox is a Research Associate at RMC Research and supports the Gulf Comprehensive Center (Gulf CC). Ms. Cox has over 20 years of experience providing professional development and technical assistance in literacy and coaching. Currently, as project lead for the Increasing the Effectiveness of School Administrators, she provides intensive technical assistance and capacity building with the Gulf CC on projects focused on school leadership and evaluation. She provides technical assistance to state educational agencies (SEA) and works with local educational agency (LEA) leaders to provide evidence-based resources. Working alongside the SEA, Ms. Cox has assisted in the development of the Alabama Principal Framework and will provide guidance in the development of the Alabama Principal and Leadership Evaluation System. She is a former elementary and middle school teacher and has been a coach at the school, district, state, and national levels. Her work includes a self-assessment tool for coaching and co-developing the Alabama Coaching Framework and the Structured Student-Centered Practice Profile.
EDUCATION: M.Ed. in elementary education, Grades K-5 from University of North Carolina, Charlotte; B.A. in elementary education, Grades K-6 from Pfeiffer College
